Given the background to this situation, FIFA had given an ultimatum to Pakistan that the Ashfaq Hussain group should immediately end its illegal occupation of the football house on March 27 and hand over the charge to the normalization committee. Pakistan should be allowed to work as per the mandate given to it, otherwise the international organization Pakistan was banned on March 31.
FIFA strongly condemned the incident, calling it "regrettable" and said the matter would be taken up in FIFA's Bureau of Council to decide Pakistan's future and suspend Pakistan's membership. Later, after the deadline for the ultimatum, FIFA announced the suspension of Pakistan's membership because its position was not recognized.
On the other hand, Ashfaq Hussain says that he was elected the president of the federation in the elections to be held in 2018 but he was refused to be given the charge. However, the court ordered to give him powers for 5 years till 2023. He took over, but the opposition group contacted FIFA and demanded re-election. FIFA House was later handed over to the normalization committee to resolve the dispute. But we have taken on our own responsibility.
Haroon Malik, chairman of the FIFA normalization committee, said that the inappropriate behavior of a few people had damaged Pakistan football and made the country weak all over the world. But all stakeholders should realize their national responsibility in this regard.
Meanwhile, highly credible sources say that FIFA officials have taken the occupation of the football house as a direct attack on the international organization and are seeking direct action against Pakistan, but the officials of the normalization committee are trying. That the matter should be dealt with with mutual understanding and Pakistan should not face sanctions, in this regard backdoor dialogue is going on between the parties and positive results are expected to emerge. A year-long ban will be imposed, which will make the game of football a thing of the past in the country.
