Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has demanded that Shoaib Malik join the team. In his message on Twitter, Shahid Afridi said, "Congratulations to the team on the victory. Despite the victory, the middle order has to be reviewed." The former captain said that the Pakistan team has been facing difficulties in the middle order for a long time.
Shahid Afridi said that consideration should be given to include Shoaib Malik in the team once again.
It is to be noted that Pakistan defeated South Africa by 3 wickets in the fourth T20 match and won the series 1.3. In the fourth and final T20 match of the series played in Johannesburg, South Africa, thanks to the lively bowling of the national bowlers, the entire South African team was bowled out for 144 runs in the last over.
Pakistan achieved the target barely one ball before losing 7 wickets. Mohammad Rizwan and captain Babar Azam started the innings for the national team. Mohammad Rizwan returned to the pavilion on the second ball without opening an account, after which Fakhruzzaman came to bat and formed a valuable partnership of 91 runs with Babar Azam. Fakhrazman was dismissed after playing an aggressive innings of 60 off 34 balls which included 5 fours and 4 sixes while Babar Azam returned to the pavilion after playing an innings of 24 runs.
Muhammad Hafeez 10, Haider Ali 3, Asif Ali 5 and Faheem Ashraf were the guests of 7 runs. Earlier, Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first. Yaniman Milan and Aiden Markram started the innings for South Africa but Markram did not play well in the innings and lost his wicket for 11 runs.
Van der Dawson scored his half-century and was dismissed for 52, while Milan returned to the pavilion after scoring 33, after which no South African player could enter the double-figure. Captain Hernandez Klaassen (9), George Linde (3), Wayne Milder (6), Adenley Flakio (1), Cisanda Magala (7), Fortune (8) and Tabriz Shamsi were out without opening an account. For the national team, Faheem Ashraf and Hassan Ali took 3, 3 while Haris Rauf took 2 and Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Nawaz took one wicket each.
